Bachata Conexión Athens

“We connect, dance, and perform bachata”

 

Sharing our love of Bachata, we connect bachateros/bachateras in Athens, GA who love, dance and/or perform bachata. Our group goal is to grow the bachata scene in town by offering bachata classes, team training, special workshops with distinguished dance instructors around the US. We encourage dancers to improve their social dance skills by connecting with dancers in the surrounding area including Atlanta or other states by attending their dance socials, weekenders, festivals, or events. We support dancers so they can build their confidence and performance skills through weekly team training. 

 

Our journey began in 2024 when Jeff and Savie got together and choreographed their first piece, Te Extrano by Xtreme. Often working collaboratively with/and under the tutelage of Terri Feliciano, director of Atrevidos Dance Company (Nashville, TN ), for over two years.

 

The group currently has weekly team training, and also teaches a bachata class, “TIMBAchata," with TIMBAthens two Sundays per month at The Studio Athens. Their performance group are performing locally and are going to perform in other states in the near future.
