TIMBAthens is hosting a 3-day event August 22-24 in collaboration with the UGA Department of Dance and the Hugh Hodgson School of Music that will consist of social dancing, performances, and dance workshops led by Duane Wrenn of Energetic Soul Dance & Fitness (Detroit, MI), Julian Mejía of SALSAtlanta (Atlanta, GA), Nicole Fisichella and Joseph Cornejo of Crown Zouk (Charlotte, NC), and professional dance competitors and salsa caleña instructors Bryan Rodriguez and José Campaz (Greenville, SC), professionally trained Afro-Cuban and Folklore instructor Aramis Pazos (Havana, Cuba).
